Netanyahu Slams Nuclear Deal between Iran & World Powers

Benjamin Netanyahu urged anew on Thursday that world powers seek to "significantly roll back" Iran's nuclear capabilities under any deal achieved in continuing talks, as officials signaled an outline for an agreement had been reached.

In a message posted on the social media site Twitter after reports that talks for a deal to rein in Iran's program would continue through June, Netanyahu reiterated Israel's demands that Iran stop what he called as terrorism and aggression.

Any deal must significantly roll back Iran's nuclear capabilities," said Netanyahu.

  1. Two Israeli ministers on Thursday reacted angrily to the announcement this evening of a deal between the P5+1 powers and Iran on the latter's nuclear program...

Economy Minister Naftali Bennett said the world's "most radical Islamic terror regime" received an official "kosher stamp" for "its illicit nuclear program."

"This is a regime that cannot be trusted and which has already violated consecutive UN resolutions," Bennet wrote on Twitter.

He argued that the deal paved the way for Iran to eventually obtain a nuclear weapon, to further destabilize the Middle East and to continue "spreading terror across the globe."

"It is important to stress: Deal or no deal, Israel will do what is needed to protect itself and its citizens," Bennet said.

Strategic Affairs Minister Yuval Steinitz, meanwhile, said the announcement did not mean that Iran had reached an agreement with world powers on its nuclear program.............http://www.aa.com.tr/en/news/487946--israeli-ministers-slam-iran-deal

  4. U.S. Republicans expressed skepticism about Thursday’s deal to curb Iran’s nuclear program, with House Speaker John Boehner demanding Congress be allowed to review the accord before crippling economic sanctions are lifted...

Several House and Senate members expressed cautious optimism about what President Barack Obama called a “historic understanding” reached between six world powers and Iran, a deal he assured would, if followed, prevent Iran from developing a nuclear bomb.

Boehner slammed it as an “alarming departure” from the White House’s initial goals, suggesting the Obama administration caved to Iranian negotiators and allowed certain concessions.

“My immediate concern is the administration signaling it will provide near-term sanctions relief,” Boehner said in a statement.

“Congress must be allowed to fully review the details of any agreement before any sanctions are lifted.”.............http://english.alarabiya.net/en/News/middle-east/2015/04/03/Boehner-demands-Congress-to-review-Iran-accord-.html

  5. Int'l community applauds framework agreement on Iran's nuclear program ...

World leaders welcomed a framework nuclear agreement clinched Thursday between international brokers and Iran, saying it paves the way for a final comprehensive pact by the end of June.

Foreign ministers of the United States and other major powers -- Britain, France, Russia, China plus Germany -- agreed on parameters to resolve major issues on Iran's nuclear program, following eight-day-long intense negotiations in the Swiss city of Lausanne.

The deal clears the way for negotiations on a final settlement aimed at allaying the West's fears that Iran was seeking to build an atomic bomb.

In return, the US and the European Union (EU) will suspend sanctions on Tehran, with the lifting of all UN Security Council's past sanction resolutions...............http://www.globaltimes.cn/content/915272.shtml
