During his stay in Yerevan, Medvedev will hold talks with the Armenian leadership and sign a number of intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents.
The two sides will discuss topical issues of bilateral cooperation in trade, economy, investment, energy, industry, culture and humanitarian areas.
Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan said his Russian counterpart will arrive on April 7 to attend a meeting of the Intergovernmental Council of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).
"During the meeting we will try to look into the possibility of paying for Russian gas with Russian rubles," said Abrahamyan.
The Russian Prime Minister is also expected to announce the reduction of gas prices for Armenia during his meeting with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan.
