About 400 residents of Belgorod border villages were taken to a safe place

About 400 residents of the border villages of the Grayvoronsky district were taken to a safe place, the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov said.

On Friday night, he visited the Grayvoronsky urban district after the Ukrainian shelling. According to him, the destruction in the village of Kozinka is serious, the residents were taken to a safe place and will be sent, if desired, to their relatives or to temporary accommodation centers.

“As a result of the night, about 400 residents of Gora-Podil, Glotovo and Kozinka, with their consent, were taken from their homes with the help of self-defense fighters and soldiers of the Ministry of Defense. I am very grateful to everyone who helped our residents,” Gladkov wrote.

Ukrainian forces in recent days were repeatedly repelled by Russian forces after attempting to break into Russia’s Belgorod and Kursk regions, with officials on the ground reporting the operations were carried out as part of a larger effort to disrupt the upcoming Russian presidential election set for March 15-17.
