Nasser Bourita, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, expressed Morocco's rejection of these provocative actions, emphasizing that "the Kingdom, under the leadership of King Mohammed VI, who chairs the Jerusalem al-Quds Committee, calls for an immediate halt to all measures that undermine the legal and historical status of this holy city, as stipulated by international legitimacy."
During a press conference in Rabat on Monday, the Moroccan minister highlighted the international consensus in rejecting such actions and violations in Jerusalem al-Quds, particularly at Al-Aqsa Mosque. He emphasized that these actions further inflame the situation, undermine efforts for calm in the occupied Palestinian territories, and have a detrimental impact on the prospects for peace in the region.
Bourita stated, "Morocco ... firmly believes in and advocates for the peace option based on dialogue and negotiation as the path to achieving a final solution to the Palestinian issue."
