Russian strategic bombers Tu-160 and Tu-95 prepare to strike terrorists in Syria – Russian Diplomat

On Sunday, a diplomatic source informed the Russian news agency TASS that the engineering units have concluded their preparations to set the aircraft for combat use.

"The air force grouping is now ready to perform tasks with combat launches of group missiles," the source said.

The Tu-160 and Tu-95 strategic bombers have been reportedly used by the Russian Aerospace Forces to carry out pinpoint airstrikes on especially important objects like command centers, ammunition depots, accumulations of military equipment, and plants for the productions of weapons and ammunition belonging to the notorious Islamic State terror group.

It was reported earlier that the aircraft carrier group led by the Russian Navy aircraft carrier "Admiral Kuznetsov" and the heavy nuclear missile cruiser "Peter the Great" is preparing to strike insurgent positions on the outskirts of Aleppo.
