A single rocket was fired from the enclave Tuesday; it is not clear whether it landed in open terrain in Israel or inside Gaza.
Earlier Tuesday an Iron Dome missile-defense system was activated over southern Israel due to a false alarm, the Israeli military said.

Palestinians increasingly in favor of returning to armed uprising: poll
More than half of Palestinians are increasingly supporting the return to armed uprising against Israel, a public opinion poll published Monday found.
The poll, conducted by the Palestinian Center for Public Opinion, was conducted between November 12 and 18, and had questioned over 1,000 Palestinians in the West Bank, east Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip.
According to the poll, 50.4% of respondents said that they "support the outbreak of a third intifada," while 35.2% oppose it.
When questioned about their feelings towards the resumption of peace talks, 62.3% of respondents answered that they were opposed to it "under the prevailing conditions."
A poll conducted by the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research in September had found that 57% of Palestinians support a return to an armed intifada in the absence of peace negotiations, up from 49 percent three months ago.
