"We will take back Donbas. We will restore Ukrainian heritage and we will demonstrate that our unity is another crucial factor in our victory," Poroshenko addressed a crowd of people gathered at Kiev's Independence Square (Maidan Nezalezhnosti).
Speaking at the march commemorating victims of Tuesday's bus attack in eastern Ukraine's Volnovakha village, Poroshenko promised not to "yield another inch" of Ukrainian soil.
"We will be victorious, there will be peace in Ukraine… We will protect and revive our state," Poroshenko was quoted as saying.
- The Volnovakha bus attack took the lives of 12 people and injured 18 others.

Poroshenko punta a riprendersi tutto il Donbass ...
ReplyDeleteLe autorità ucraina a breve hanno intenzione di riprendere il controllo di tutto il territorio del Donbass, ha detto domenica il presidente Poroshenko, in un discorso pubblico nella Piazza dell'Indipendenza (Maidan) a Kiev.
"Non lasceremo neanche un palmo del suolo ucraino. Ci riprendiamo il Donbass, rifondiamo nel Donbass l'ucrainicità" - ha detto Poroshenko.
Il 18 gennaio a Kiev ha avuto luogo la marcia di pace in memoria dei passeggeri dell'autobus finito sotto i colpi dell'artiglieria lo scorso 13 gennaio, nei pressi del centro abitato di Volnovakha, nella regione di Donetsk.
E' di oggi la notizia che le forze ucraine stanno conducendo un fitto bombardamento dei quartieri residenziali di Donetsk e Lugansk, con i sistemi "Grad" e "Uragan".

ReplyDeleteRussian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday sent a written message to his Ukrainian counterpart Petro Poroshenko offering a plan of pulling out heavy weaponry by the conflicting parties. Kiev turned this plan down having offered nothing instead, Russian president’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov said on Sunday.
“In the recent days, Russia has been taking effort as a mediatory in the settlement of the conflict. Thus, overnight from Thursday to Friday, Vladimir Putin sent a writted message to Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, where he offered both parties to the conflict a concrete plan of heavy artillery pullout. The Ukrainian president received the message on Friday morning,” Peskov said. “Regrettably, the Ukrainian side has turned down the plan and has proposed nothing instead. More to it, it has resumed combat operations.”
“As a result, we are witnessing ongoing shelling of Donetsk and an absolute degradation of the situation in eastern Ukraine,” he noted.
Commenting on reports coming from southeastern Ukraine, Peskov said, “Moscow is extremely worried over the development of the situation. They are again shelling residential quarters in Donetsk, people are dying again.”.
