Brzezinski urges Obama to deliver weapons to Ukraine

Former US presidential advisor in the Carter administration, Zbigniew Brzezinski has urged US President Barack Obama to supply Ukraine weapons, including rocket launchers, for military operations in urban environments.

"Ukrainians will fight only if they think they will receive aid from the West, especially in the form of weapon supplies that are necessary for a successful defense of the cities," Brzezinski wrote in a column in the newspaper Politico.


Brzezinski has been for many years one of the main ideologists of American foreign policy and is the author of the famous book "The Grand Chessboard: American primacy and its geostrategic imperatives."
