Russian President Vladimir Putin allowed the use of American property in Russia to compensate for damage from the seizure of Russian property in the United States; the corresponding decree was signed on May 23.
Document No. 442 of the President of Russia dated May 23, 2024 is entitled “On the special procedure for compensation for damage caused to the Russian Federation and the Central Bank of the Russian Federation in connection with the unfriendly actions of the United States of America” and is posted on the portal for the official publication of legal acts.
It is about movable and immovable property of the United States, American companies and citizens located on the territory of the Russian Federation, as well as their shares in the authorized capital of Russian companies, securities and other property rights of the United States and Americans in the Russian Federation.

Путин разрешил использовать имущество США для компенсации ущерба от изъятия активов РФ
ReplyDeleteПрезидент России Владимир Путин разрешил использовать американское имущество в России для компенсации ущерба от изъятия имущества РФ в США. Соответствующий указ опубликован на официальном портале правовой информации.
Согласно документу, президент России постановил правительству установить специальный порядок компенсации такого ущерба. Специальный порядок действий применяется в случае необоснованного лишения российских правообладателей прав на имущество.
В частности, теперь имущество США или связанных с ними лиц в России может быть использовано для компенсации ущерба Российской Федерации или Центробанка. Глава государства также установил, что правообладатель из РФ может судиться по российским законам для установления незаконного изъятия имущества со стороны Соединенных Штатов.
Владимир Путин подписал указ о порядке компенсации ущерба в случае конфискации российских активов в США, документ опубликовали на портале правовых актов.
