Fragments of a downed Tochka U missile hit a high-rise residential building in the city of Belgorod, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
According to the ministry, air defenses downed six Tochka U missiles, four Vampire rockets and two Olkha rockets.
"Fragments of one of the downed Tochka U missiles damaged a residential building," the statement reads.

Russian Human Rights Commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova has again called on the global community to denounce Ukrainian terrorist acts against civilians in the wake of today’s attack at a residential building in Belgorod.

Russia is blaming a Ukrainian strike after an entire section of an apartment block collapsed following an explosion in Belgorod.
ReplyDeleteCCTV from the scene shows a large blast near the base of the 10-floor structure and then the building falling in.
At least 17 people have been hurt and there are reports of fatalities and also of people trapped in the rubble.
