A series of Israeli air strikes on the southern Gaza town of Rafah on Monday killed 52 people, according to the Hamas-ruled territory's health ministry.
The strikes hit 14 houses and three mosques in different parts of Rafah, according to the Hamas government.
The Israeli military said on Monday it had conducted a "series of strikes" on southern Gaza that have now "concluded," without providing further details.
Hamas said on Monday that the Israeli attack on Gaza's southern city of Rafah is a continuation of the
'genocidal war' and the forced displacement attempts Israel has waged against the Palestinian people, it said in a statement.
