Russia requests UNSC meeting on attack on Belgorod later on Saturday

Russia has requested an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council later on Saturday following Ukraine’s shelling attack on Belgorod, Russian First Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations Dmitry Polyansky said. 

"We have requested an UNSC meeting on Belgorod at 3:00 p.m. New York time (8:00 p.m. GMT) today, December 30. We also demanded that the Czech permanent representative be present to explain his country’s supplies of weapons, which are used to kill civilians," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

    Как сообщило Минобороны РФ, киевский режим предпринял попытку нанесения неизбирательного комбинированного удара по городу Белгород двумя ракетами "Ольха" в запрещенном кассетном снаряжении, а также реактивными снарядами РСЗО "Vampire" чешского производства.

  4. Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has blasted the Czech Foreign Ministry for a statement about an upcoming UN Security Council meeting on the Ukrainian shelling of the Russian city of Belgorod.

    The diplomat was referring to the Czech envoy’s refusal to attend the Security Council meeting, which had been requested by Russia, and the statement by Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky, who said that, "We refuse to be summoned anywhere by Russia.".

  6. "The more threats Kiev creates to Russia, the more aggressively Russia will act," Vasiliy Nebenzya, deputy representative of the Russian Federation, said at a meeting of the UN Security Council.
    "One of the tasks of our special military operation is the elimination of threats emanating from territories bordering Russian regions, including those that became part of Russia after the start of World War II. The more threats they pose to us, the faster we will act . I think it should be clear to everyone", - said Nebenzia.

  7. Brussels, Washington and London are complicit in Kiev's crimes, Russian Ambassador to the UN Vasiliy Nebenzia said at the UN Security Council meeting called in connection with the attack on Belgorod.
    "Don't build illusions and don't pretend: Brussels, along with Washington and London, as well as most of the countries of the European Union, are complicit in the crimes committed by the Kyiv gang," said Nebenzia.
