1. Referendums on joining Russia as separate constituent members started in the Donetsk and the Lugansk People’s Republics as well as in the Kherson Region and in liberated areas of the Zaporozhye Region at 08:00 am on Friday.
Voting will continue until September 27, when counting of votes will begin. For security reasons, people in the four regions will be invited to vote near their homes, rather at polling stations, or rounds of citizens will be made, in the first four days of referendums.
On Friday, polling stations for refugees opened in a number of Russian cities.

2. The referendum on joining Russia has begun throughout the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), Vladimir Vysotsky, the head of the DPR central election commission, told on Friday.
"Today at 08.00 Moscow time (05:00 GMT), the process of holding a referendum on the DPR joining Russia as a subject began. Voting takes place according to the previously established form throughout the territory of the DPR, controlled by the authorities of the republic," Vysotsky said.

3. Polling stations opened in Russia’s Far Eastern region of Kamchatka, allowing displaced residents of the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk and the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions to cast their ballot in the referendum on accession to Russia.
"Four polling stations have opened on the territory of temporary shelters for displaced persons. They will work until September 27," the election commission of Kamchatka said.
Polling stations in the nearby Chukotka Region will open in four municipal districts on September 27.

4. The Kherson Region’s Central Election Commission expects some 750,000 people to take part in the plebiscite, with half a million people registered as voters in the Zaporozhye Region. Referendum ballots have been printed out for 1.5 million voters in the DPR.

5. The first day of the referendum started in Donbass, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions
Referendums on the issue of joining as subjects of the Russian Federation started on Friday, September 23 in the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics (DPR and LPR), in the Kherson region and in the liberated territories of the Zaporozhye region. Voting ends on September 27th.
