UAE Confirms Fuel Tanker Explosions, Airport Fire amid Yemen’s Drone Attack - Tasnim News Agency

(Tasnim) – Abu Dhabi police said in a statement that a drone attack may have caused an explosion involving three oil tankers in Abu Dhabi and a fire in the construction site of the Emirate’s new airport extension on Monday morning.

The tankers were transporting fuel near storage tanks of ADNOC. A fire also occurred in the new construction area at Abu Dhabi International Airport, according to Al Arabiya.

The official WAM news agency also reported three deaths and six injured in a fire in Abu Dhabi on Monday as the result of a drone attack that was launched by Yemeni military this morning in retaliation for the UAE’s recent escalation of war in Yemen.

The spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, plans to announce the details of the military operation in the UAE in the coming hours, according to a post on his Twitter account.

Videos posted on social media show clouds of smokes rising from an area that is claimed to be the Musaffah district near Abu Dhabi International Airport, after Yemeni drone strikes.
