Although India's COVID-19 crisis continues to deepen, the situation in the neighbouring country of Nepal is also getting worse.
Daily case counts there have averaged over 8,000 a day in the last week, with the surge believed to be bolstered by migrant workers returning from India.
Meanwhile, the country's vaccination rate also sits at a meager 7 per cent.
