Local Syrian media reported on Thursday that Israeli fighter jets attacked an air base near Homs in Syria.
The Syrian air defense system apparently intercepted the missiles, which targeted the Adabaa air base, Syrian Muraselon media said.

"One of our military airports was the target of missiles intercepted by our anti-aircraft defenses," SANA said, citing a military source

.Lebanese media reported a heavy presence of Israeli air crafts over Beirut and the Lebanese coast.

Israel and the Syrian regime are yet to respond.

  2. The United States has warned Syria it would take "firm and appropriate measures" in response to ceasefire violations, saying it was concerned about reports of an impending military operation in a de-escalation zone in the country's southwest.

Washington also cautioned Syrian President Bashar al-Assad against broadening the conflict...

"As a guarantor of this de-escalation area with Russia and Jordan, the United States will take firm and appropriate measures in response to Assad regime violations," State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert said in a statement late last night.
