Syria's Minister of Reconciliation Ali Haidar said Wednesday that the victory of the Syrian army in the northern city of Aleppo is a "strategic and qualitative" one.
Speaking to reporters after meeting with China's special envoy to Syria, Xie Xiaoyan, Haidar said the recent sweeping victories the Syrian army is achieving in Aleppo will have a huge impact on both the military and political levels.
"The victory in Aleppo is a strategic and qualitative one and will make a huge impact on both the military and political levels and the international community must be concerned about what to give for Aleppo in terms of humanitarian aid through the Syrian government, otherwise the Syrian government is doing all is needed from it," the minister said.
It came as the Syrian army has become in control over 80 percent of the terror/rebel-held areas in the eastern part of Aleppo.
