Chinese and Indian military forces are engaged in a face-off after the Chinese soldiers halted the construction of an irrigation canal by the Indian workers in the rural area of the Jammu and Kashmir state, local media reported.
Over 50 Chinese soldiers arrived on Thursday in the region of Ladakh, demanding to stop the activities, since any construction along the Line of Actual Control, which is the de facto border between India and China, should be agreed, NDTV channel reported.
Indian workers were forced to stop the work and called the troops to prevent further invasion of the Chinese soldiers into the Indian territory, according to the news outlet.
