The Russian Defense Ministry said that a Russian soldier passed away after succumbing to wounds he sustained when a landmine planted by terrorists exploded as the solider was escorting an aid convoy in Aleppo province.
A statement from the Ministry said that soldier Nikita Shevchenko was in a vehicle escorting a convoy transporting food and water to locals when a landmine planted by terrorists on the side of the road went off as the convoy was passing, inflicting injuries on Shevchenko, adding that doctors couldn’t save his life and he succumbed to his wounds.
