Noel Detoyato, chief of the AFP's Public Affairs Office, said the AFP National Election Monitoring Centre, which monitored 22 election-related violent incidents which have resulted in 10 fatalities and three injuries nationwide as of 2 p.m. Monday.
The violent incidents included ambushes, indiscriminate firings, explosions, arsons and harassments.
- From January 10 to May 8, 15 people had been killed in election-related violent incidents, according to the Philippine National Police.
The police implemented a total gun ban and installation of checkpoints all over the country for the election period from January 10 to June 8.
