Kerry wants to shoot down Russian planes : Under the rules of engagement that could have been a shoot-down

The US Secretary of State John Kerry called acts of the Russian Su-24 to be a "dangerous and provocative" clash of combat forces.


According to him, the US "condemns this kind of behavior. It is reckless. It is provocative. It is dangerous. And under the rules of engagement that could have been a shoot-down". "People need to understand that this is serious business and the United States is not going to be intimidated on the high seas," Kerry believes.

As we reported, the Russian aircraft Su-24 flew several times on April 13 in proximity of the American man-of-war USS Donald Cook in the Baltic Sea.

The Russian Ministry of Defence claimed in response to the US accusations that "freedom of navigation of the US Navy destroyer does not cancel at all freedoms of the air of the Russian aircraft"
