Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Moallem promised that the foreign troops involved in ground operations in Syria without a formal invitation to Damascus “go home in wooden coffins.” The head of the Foreign Ministry said in a press conference on Saturday February 6 according to Associated Press .
Thus Moallem responded to the statement by Bahrain which is followed by Saudi Arabia announced readiness to send troops to the Syrian Arab Republic (UAR) in the framework of a ground operation in order to fight against the “Islamic state” .
“Any ground invasion of the territory of Syria without the consent of the Syrian government will be perceived as an act of aggression which must resist every citizen. I’m sorry to say it but they Go home in wooden coffins ” – he stressed.
Muallem also said that the pretext on which Riyadh wants to introduce troops into Syria far-fetched but “crazy Saudi authorities for such logic in the order of things.”
Saudi Arabia declared its readiness to take part in ground operations in Syria as part of the international coalition led by the United States on February 4th. According to sources The Guardian as part of a ground operation it can send to Syria several thousands of special forces soldiers who are likely to be deployed in coordination with Turkey.
