“As far as I know, the president signed a decree yesterday and granted Ukrainian citizenship to some foreign candidates to the government,” Layshko told reporters giving the two names. He had no information about Georgian candidates.
Earlier it was reported that Georgia’s former President Mikheil Saakashvili had turned down an invitation to take the position of Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister.

ReplyDeleteUkrainian President Petro Poroshenko on Tuesday granted citizenship to three foreign technocrats nominated for cabinet positions in a new government hoping to tackle severe economic and defense threats.
Parliament is expected to vote on nominees for cabinet positions on Tuesday with Kiev under pressure to form a new government quickly.
Ukraine has been offered billions of dollars in aid by international lenders if it implements a program of economic reform and Poroshenko said the administration would benefit from international specialist input.
"There are absolutely extraordinary challenges facing Ukraine - an extremely difficult economic situation, Russian aggression, the need for radical reform and the fight against corruption. All this requires innovative solutions in the government," he said in statement.

La decisión recibió el apoyo de 288 diputados, superando el mínimo necesario de 226 votos.
Stepán Poltorak, Pavló Klimkin y Arsén Avákov han sido revalidados en el nuevo Gabinete como titulares de Defensa, Asuntos Exteriores e Interior, respectivamente.

Ukraine: des étrangers auront la tâche colossale de relancer l'économie ...
ReplyDeleteUne Américaine, ancienne collaboratrice du département d'État américain, et un Lituanien, dirigeant d'un fonds d'investissement suédois, se sont vus confier les portefeuilles stratégiques des Finances et de l'Économie dans le nouveau gouvernement ukrainien, avec la lourde tâche de sortir l'économie du pays de l'impasse.
Naturalisés ukrainiens par décret spécial du président ukrainien Petro Porochenko quelques heures à peine avant leur nomination, l'Américaine Natalie Jaresko et le Lituanien Aivaras Abromavicius ont vu leur candidature entérinée par une large majorité du Parlement ukrainien, sous les applaudissements des députés.
C'est la première fois que des étrangers occupent des fonctions ministérielles dans un gouvernement ukrainien. La nomination de ressortissants étrangers à des postes importants dans le gouvernement ukrainien risque de rendre ce pays politiquement dépendant et inféodé à l'Occident, a indiqué mercredi dans son blog le dirigeant du mouvement Choix ukrainien Viktor Medvedtchouk....

Selon le président du Choix ukrainien, la nomination de ressortissants étrangers à de hautes responsabilités constitue une menace réelle pour la sécurité du pays.

ReplyDeleteUkraine’s move to appoint allies of former Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili to top government positions has angered Tbilisi, the Kommersant daily reported on Thursday, citing a leader of the ruling Georgian Dream coalition.
On Tuesday, the Ukrainian parliament appointed Alexander Kvitashvili, Georgia's former minister of public health and social security, as Ukraine's health minister. Yekaterina Zguladze, a Georgian politician who launched the country's police reform, will serve as deputy head of Ukraine’s interior minister, according to Kommersant.
