At least 15 killed in U.S.-led international coalition bombing in Syria

At least 15 people were killed and a number of others were wounded on Saturday in a bombing campaign launched by the United States-led international coalition around the Syrian city of Manbech, where clashes between the Islamic State (IS) militants and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) took place.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the aircraft attacked the village of Al-Nuaja, east of Manbech, noting that some of the wounded are in critical condition.

The London-based NGO added that the fighting between both parties is still ongoing.

  • The bombing came after at least 57 civilians, including 12 minors, were killed on Tuesday in the coalition bombing in the town of Al-Tukhar, north of Manbech in Aleppo.

SDF, an armed Kurdish-Arab alliance, started an offensive on May 31 to retake control of Manbech and liberate it from IS terrorists.
