MH17 Crash: Dutch, Malaysian Experts Arrive at Boeing Crash Site in Ukraine

International experts from the Netherlands and Malaysia have arrived at the Boeing crash site in eastern Ukraine for further investigations into the reason for the tragedy, Donetsk news agency reported Thursday.

The Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777, flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, crashed near Donetsk on July 17, 2014. All 298 people on board died. The preliminary inquiry report found that the plane had probably broken up in the air after being hit by "high-energy objects."

“International experts are working at the crash site together with representatives from the Donetsk People’s Republic’s Emergencies Ministry, who are providing the foreign specialists with everything needed,” the news agency said.

Kiev and a number of Western nations accused southeastern Ukraine's pro-independence militia of downing the plane with a Buk missile. The Dutch Safety Board is expected to publish the final report on the tragedy in mid-2015.
