“There is no freedom of information in the West,” he said. “World media are dominated by the American dictates. There is only one opinion. It is nothing else but censorship.”
He substantiated his words by the fact that Italian media kept silent about U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland’s recent phone talk, when she spoke about investing five billion U.S. dollars into Ukraine, as well as about a leaked telephone conversation between Catherine Ashton, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, and Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Paet, during which they discussed events in Kiev’s Independence Square (known as Maidan).
“Journalists are ignorant themselves and are playing on people’s ignorance. In Italy, for instance, they have been suggesting the idea that Russia has intruded into Ukraine,” he said.
He said he strongly believed Russia’s actions could be characterized as “defence,” not as “attack.”
“Russia has to react,” he noted. “Of course, Russia has its own interests in Ukraine, as the United States and Europe do. All have their own interests. But is it vital that such interests are pursued in a legal way.”
“The revolt in Ukraine was preceded by long and thorough preparations by the United States,” the Italian journalist stressed. “This is the only way once can interpret Victoria Nuland’s words about five billion dollars. It is absolutely obvious.”
He said the United States had been plotting change of power in Ukraine ever since the so-called orange revolution. “That revolution failed, [Viktor] Yanukovich, by far not the best leader, came to power. So, the situation became ripe to take advantage of his weakness. And it finally happened. America needs Ukraine in NATO,” said Chiesa, who is planning to make a trip to Ukraine’s autonomous republic of Crimea, which is in the process of splitting from the rest of Ukraine.

La propaganda y el absurdo enmascaran el papel nocivo de EE.UU. en el mundo...
ReplyDeleteEl secretario de Estado, John Kerry, y los medios de EE.UU. llevan a cabo una táctica de hipocresía abundante hablando de los acontecimientos en Ucrania y Venezuela. Es una línea empleada desde hace tiempo, sostiene el periodista Patrick Smith.
En una rueda de prensa el pasado domingo, hablando del papel de Rusia en los acontecimientos en Crimea, el secretario de Estado de EE.UU., John Kerry, acusó a Moscú de tomar el control de la península en el marco de la última escalada de la crisis de Ucrania, con decenas de medios occidentales haciendo eco y coro de declaraciones similares de otros políticos norteamericanos. Kerry hizo hincapié en que no se puede en el siglo XXI comportarse a la manera del siglo IXX y efectuar "la invasión de otro país con un pretexto totalmente falso". El periodista estadounidense Patrick Smith ha calificado las palabras de Kerry como "hipocresía sin límite", acompañadas por "pura ignorancia y presunción".
El analista político opina que la mencionada declaración del secretario de Estado forma parte de una campaña dirigida a persuadir al mundo de que la política del presidente ruso Vladímir Putin respecto a Ucrania supone una intrusión injustificada en los asuntos de una nación que lucha por encontrar su camino hacia un sistema de gobierno rehecho en el modelo liberal de las democracias occidentales.
"Esta es la parte explícita. Y la implícita son las 'manos limpias' de los políticos norteamericanos y europeos y el amplio apoyo de que goza el gobierno provisional que se nombró a sí mismo, después que el presidente Víktor Yanukóvich fuera perseguido hasta la frontera con Rusia", explica el periodista. Smith añade que ese "tonto comentario de Kerry es uno entre otros incontables que están a servicio" de la versión de los acontecimientos que está promoviendo Occidente.
Aún más, el periodista señala que por segunda vez en menos de un año el mundo está presenciando una intervención norteamericana que queda en evidencia en las redes sociales, nada que ver con los tiempos antiguos, cuando Washington socavó a Mosaddeq en Irán, a Árbenz en Guatemala o, más tarde, a Allende en Chile y el mundo tuvo que esperar años antes de que la verdad sobre el papel nocivo de EE.UU. fuera descubierta debajo de un montón de propaganda y mentiras, con las que fueron tapadas rápidamente en los tiempos de esos eventos.....................etc.........
