On Monday, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry summoned Iranian Charge d'Affaires Shahriyar Amuzegar.
The diplomat was harshly expressed concern about rumors about military assistance to Russia.
The representative of the Islamic Republic was warned about the possible consequences of transferring short-range ballistic missiles to Moscow. Allegedly, Russia uses them in the special operation zone.
“On September 9, the charge d’affaires of Iran was summoned to the ministry. The Ukrainian side expressed deep concern about reports of a possible supply of ballistic missiles to Russia,” the department said in an official statement.
The rumors were previously spread by the American television channel CNN.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday, commenting on reports that Iran is allegedly supplying missiles, that such information not always corresponds to reality.

"We have seen these reports, not every time such information corresponds to reality. Iran is our important partner, we are developing our trade and economic relations, we are developing our cooperation and dialogue in all possible areas, including the most sensitive areas. And we will continue to do this in the interests of the peoples of our two countries," Peskov told reporters.
