Syrian forces fight against terrorists cutting off water supply to Damascus

The Syrian army is fighting near Damascus against the Jabhat Fateh al-Sham extremist group, formerly known as Al-Nusra Front, which is not covered by the nationwide ceasefire, Syrian President Bashar Assad said in an interview with French media published by the SANA news agency on Monday.

UN calls for end to attacks on civilian infrastructure in Syria

An air strike on a water treatment plant in Syria's northern city of Aleppo last Thursday cut water supplies to some 3.5 million people, and while pumping has been partly restored, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) is warning that 1.4 million still have interruptions in their supply.
