Ukraine says it downed 36 Russian missiles and drones

Ukrainian forces in Kyiv has said they shot down 36 Russian missiles and drones in and around the capital overnight, with two people injured by falling debris before authorities lifted air raid alerts across most of the country.

UN Security Council, US turn down request for Nord Stream inquiry, Moscow to continue bringing up Nord Stream blasts at UNSC

Russia has failed to get the United Nations Security Council to ask for an independent inquiry into explosions in September that ruptured the Nord Stream gas pipelines connecting Russia and Germany, spewing gas into the Baltic Sea.

Cyprus says no talks until Turkey cancels plans for gas exploration off island’s shores

Turkey’s move to cancel plans for gas exploration in the exclusive economic zone of the Republic of Cyprus is the only condition to resume peace talks aimed at reuniting the divided island, the government spokesman of the Republic of Cyprus said in an interview with TASS on Thursday.

In early October, Turkey released the so-called navigation telex (NAVTEX) note saying that the Barbaros research vessel would carry out seismic survey in the Mediterranean for natural gas field exploration from October 20 to December 30.

Lebanon: Minister of Energy, US Company Agree on Photogeological Oil Prospection

Lebanese caretaker Minister of Energy and Water Resources, Gebran Bassil, and American NEOS Company on Friday signed a contract on carrying out oil and gas exploration via photogeology, in presence of the US Ambassador to Lebanon, David Hale.

"This new contract with the US Company aims to following up on oil and gas exploration works in the Lebanese sea and land from air, "Bassil explained.

Κύπρος: Οι έρευνες του αμερικανικού ερευνητικού σκάφους «Ναυτίλος» δεν σχετίζονται με αυτές στην κυπριακή ΑΟΖ

Οι έρευνες που διεξάγει το αμερικανικό ερευνητικό σκάφος «Ναυτίλος»[1] στο υποθαλάσσιο βουνό «Ερατοσθένης», περίπου 60 μίλια από τις δυτικές ακτές της Πάφου, δεν έχουν καμία σχέση με τις έρευνες που διεξάγει η Κύπρος στην Αποκλειστική Οικονομική της Ζώνη για τα θέματα κοιτασμάτων, δήλωσε ο υπουργός Εμπορίου, Βιομηχανίας και Τουρισμού Νεοκλής Συλικιώτης.
Το αμερικανικό ερευνητικό σκάφος «Ναυτίλος» ενδεχομένως να διεξάγει έρευνες σχετικά με ουράνιο, είπε ο κ. Συλικώτης.

ΚΥΠΡΟΣ: Υποθαλάσσιες έρευνες στα ανοικτά της Πάφου

Έρευνες για λογαριασμό της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας θα αρχίσει εντός των ημερών στη θάλασσα της Πάφου το αμερικανικό ωκεανογραφικό σκάφος «Ναυτίλος»[1], σύμφωνα με την κρατική τηλεόραση του ΡΙΚ.
Το πλήρωμα του σκάφους θα αναζητήσει βιολογικά και άλλα δεδομένα στο θαλάσσιο βουνό Ερατοσθένης, 60 μίλια από τις ακτές της Πάφου.
Επικεφαλής της ομάδας των επιστημόνων θα είναι ο Ρόμπερτ Μπάλαρντ, ο άνθρωπος που ανακάλυψε τον «Τιτανικό» και το γερμανικό θωρηκτό «Βίσμαρκ».
