ICAO Agrees To Hear MH17 Case Netherlands, Australia Filed Against Russia

The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) decided to hear the case filed by the Netherlands and Australia against Russia over the crash of the MH17 plane in Donbas in 2014, Dutch Foreign Minister Wopke Hoekstra said on Saturday.

Russia says flights of two Turkish airlines suspended due lack of visas

The flights to Russia of two Turkish carriers - Pegasus Airlines and Onur Air - have been suspended as their leadership failed to provide the crews with visas, Russia’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said on Wednesday.

UN urges greater use of advance passenger information to stem flow of foreign terrorist fighters

 UN,11 June 2015 – A United Nations counter-terrorism body is calling for expanding the use of advance passenger information (API) to stem the flow of foreign terrorist fighters, and recommends a number of measures to help overcome the challenges associated with using this important tool.

Japan seeks ICAO's involvement in tackling China's air defense zone/Ιαπωνική έκκληση στον ICAO για ζήτημα εναέριου ελέγχου

The Foreign Ministry (of Japan) said Saturday Tokyo has proposed that the International Civil Aviation Organization consider how to address the issue of China's declaration of an air defense identification zone above the East China Sea.
Japan put forward the proposal on Friday in Canada at a meeting of the ICAO, a U.N. agency to promote the safe and orderly development of international civil aviation throughout the world, saying the Chinese move could threaten the order and safety of international civil aviation, according to the ministry.
