Manifestation à Hong Kong contre le placement d'une gare sous contrôle chinois

Des Hongkongais en colère ont manifesté lundi dans le centre-ville pour contester la décision d'imposer la loi chinoise sur une partie de la gare de Hong Kong, qu'ils dénoncent comme une ingérence de Pékin.

Les manifestants protestaient contre un accord de "colocation" en vertu duquel une partie d'un nouveau terminal ferroviaire, construit au coeur de la ville, sera soumis à la loi chinoise pour les besoins des contrôles d'immigration.

Angry protesters marched through Hong Kong Monday against what they described as suppression by Beijing, days after Chinese authorities ruled that part of a city rail station would come under mainland law.

Many of the protesters were angry at the so-called "co-location" agreement, which would bring part of a new rail terminus in the heart of Hong Kong under mainland law.

China Paper Says US Behind Hong Kong Protests. (U.S. government officials, non-government groups and media)

China's Communist Party is renewing its accusation that the United States is behind the pro-democracy protests that have paralyzed parts of Hong Kong for the past two weeks.

A front-page editorial Saturday in the party-run People's Daily said U.S. government officials, non-government groups and media are working to foment a "color revolution" in the semi-autonomous Chinese territory.
