Nord Stream 2 Gas Pipeline
Nord Stream 2 is a joint venture between Russia's state gas giant Gazprom and five European companies, including France's Engie, Austria's OMV AG, Germany's Uniper and Wintershall, as well as Royal Dutch Shell. Berlin and the EU have repeatedly expressed an interest in implementing the project.

Gazprom considering new gas transit projects in south of Europe — Russia’s FM

Russia's gas giant Gazprom is considering new gas transit projects in south Europe, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Wednesday.

According to the top diplomat, Russia is prepared to fully resume energy cooperation with the European Union, which is hardly possible without Europe’s involvement.

Germany addresses Poland's concerns over pipeline project

Visiting German Vice Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel on Friday said Nordstream 2, a new pipeline to send Russia's gas to Germany, will go ahead as scheduled if Russia does not cut off gas lines from Ukraine and eastern Europe.

EU-Ukraine-Russia talks agree on the terms of a binding protocol to secure gas supplies for the coming winter

After several rounds of trilateral and bilateral negotiations over the last months, at today's meeting chaired by Vice-President for Energy Union Mr Maroš Šefčovič,  the European Commission, the Russian Federation and Ukraine have agreed on the terms of gas deliveries to Ukraine for the upcoming winter period from the 1st of October until the end of March 2016.

Russia close to deal to supply gas to Ukraine and EU

Russia, Ukraine and the European Union have initialed a deal for Moscow to resume gas supplies to Ukraine over the winter after months of difficult talks overshadowed by conflict in the eastern European country.
