Lula da Silva wins presidential election in Brazil

 Brazilian former President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva won in the second round of the country’s presidential election beating by almost two million votes incumbent President Jair Bolsonaro, according to results of the 99.3% of the processed votes.

According to data provided by Brazil's Supreme Electoral Court (TSE) some 60 million people (50.37%) cast their votes in favor of Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, while incumbent President Jair Bolsonaro received the support of 57.9 million (49.13%) of the voters.

The voters’ turnout was reported to reach some 80% of the electorate with some 32 million of registered voters failing to turn up at polling stations.
