100 Conservatives Asking 1922 Committee Chair For No Confidence Vote In Truss

Letters demanding a vote of no confidence in British Prime Minister Liz Truss may have been written by as many as 100 Conservative backbenchers, The i newspaper (inews) reports.

Chair of the 1922 Committee of backbenchers Graham Brady, who will return from a holiday on Monday "will have letters piling up against the back of his door. He will be pushing the door open with a few people, because of all the letters piling up the back of it," a veteran Tory member told the newspaper on Sunday.
