Saudi Arabia Refuses to Issue Permit for Yemen’s First Commercial Flight in Six Years - World news - Tasnim News Agency

Yemeni Airlines announced the postponement of operating its first flight through Sana'a International Airport, which was scheduled to depart on Sunday after Saudi Arabia refused to issue the permit in violation of the terms of a two-month truce.

The commercial plane was scheduled to arrive at Sana'a International Airport on Sunday morning, rekindling hopes that the war-torn country could restore normal operations.

As part of the UN-brokered ceasefire that went into force earlier this year, the jet flown by Yemenia was scheduled to transport individuals in need of medical treatment from Sana'a to Amman, Jordan's capital city.
