West increases arms supplies to Ukraine instead of humanitarian aid - TASS

Instead of increasing supply of humanitarian aid to Ukraine, Western countries are pumping the country with weapons, Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a news briefing on Tuesday.

"Despite the fact that Ukrainian citizens are in dire need of humanitarian assistance, Western countries are increasing supplies to Ukraine not of goods, but of all types of weapons. Among them are small arms, anti-tank guided missiles, anti-tank rocket launchers, man-portable air-defense systems, ammunition and equipment," she noted.

"Mostly the US is spending billions of dollars for these purposes," Zakharova added. "Ukrainian armed formations use Western weapons to shell settlements and kill civilians. Donetsk, Makeyevka, Gorlovka, Yasinovataya, Dokuchaevsk - these and other Donbass cities are regularly shelled with heavy weapons, including the Tochka-U missile system. However, the West does not notice this as a matter of principle," she concluded.
