U.S. fully prepared to deter N. Korean aggression: U.S. Strategic Commander

 The United States says it is prepared to deter any kind of aggression from North Korea.

 Speaking at a press briefing on Thursday, the U.S. Strategic Commander Admiral Charles Richard said the U.S. is very familiar with the regime's capabilities,… and that they are fully confident in the U.S.' ability to deter it. He also highlighted the best way to resolve issues with North Korea is through diplomacy. 

The admiral added that the U.S. is ready to respect security commitments made to South Korea. 

In a statement written prior to the press briefing, he said that the regime continues to pose threats to the U.S. and its allies with its development of ICBMs.
