Turkish military blocks Syrian Army’s route to besieged Shiite towns in Idlib

Turkish military blocks Syrian Army’s route
The Turkish military has taken up positions near the key town of Tal Al-‘Eis in the southern countryside of Aleppo recently.

As a result of this move, the Turkish military has subsequently blocked the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) route to the besieged Shiite towns of Al-Fou’aa and Kafraya in the Idlib Governorate.

Al-Fou’aa and Kafraya

The Syrian Army was steadily advancing in the southern countryside of Aleppo before the Turkish military sent a dozen armored vehicles towards Point 4 near Tal Al-‘Eis.

It is still not clear whether or not Russia had prior knowledge about the Turkish Army’s motives, but this move by the latter will surely infuriate the Syrian Army, as they were planning to lift the siege on the two Shiite towns.
