At least four people have been killed and 13 others wounded in a bomb attack on a mosque located southeast of the Yemeni capital city of Sanaa, according to the Yemeni police on Wednesday
Colonel Hamid al-Hamidy was quoted by Saba news agency as saying that on Tuesday night a man threw a homemade bomb inside a mosque, where several worshippers were praying.
The police have launched an investigation to identify the perpetrator and his motives.
Tribal sources told EFE that the attacker is a local resident and the incident could be motivated by a dispute over the ownership of a land between this person and another worshipper, who was in the mosque at the time.
