Pakistani PM offers support to bring Paris attack perpetrators to justice

Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Saturday offered "support to bring the perpetrators of the Paris attacks to justice."

Multiple shootings and explosions hit central Paris overnight Friday, killing at least 120 people and injuring 200 others.

French President Francois Hollande declared a state of emergency across the country following the deadly attacks.

"Pakistan stands firm behind the people and government of France in this hour and extends its support to bring the perpetrators to justice," Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said in a statement.

In the statement, he condemned the act of terror against the innocent people of France.

"My prayers are with the families who are victims of this brutal carnage," Sharif said.

Former Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari also condemned in a statement the militant attacks in Paris and offered deepest condolences to the viticms' families and the people of France.

"Terrorism is a new threat to humankind," it said, adding that such attacks cannot and will not weaken the resolve of nations across the world to root out the militants and extremists.

"The latest terror attack in France as well the attacks from time to time in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Turkey, Iraq, Syria, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and indeed anywhere in the world bring home yet again the global dimensions of the menace and the need for the nations to work together to eradicate it."
