FYROM News: Czech Republic supports EU, NATO integration for FYROM [***]

The Czech Republic supports FYROM [***] in the process of joining the EU and NATO, the president of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament Jan Hamacek said Friday.

After meeting FYROM [***] Parliament Speaker Trajko Veljanovski, the officials said bilateral and parliamentary relations were strengthening, vowing to further improve economic ties.

Hamacek said the Czech Republic was trying to help FYROM [***] to cope with the refugee crisis, asking for a joint system to protect external borders and for the Schengen zone to be strengthened.

"We will cooperate in finding a joint European solution with the countries affected the most by the migrant flows. Thus, it is clear that such a solution must include Western Balkan countries, including FYROM [***]," Hamacek told FYROM [***] Parliament.

Hamacek also met FYROM [***] SDSM party opposition leader Zoran Zaev where they agreed on the importance to have free, fair and democratic elections in April 2016.
