BELGRADE - The prime ministers of Serbia and Albania, Aleksandar Vucic and Edi Rama respectively, agreed on Sunday in a telephone conversation that the official visit by the Albanian prime minister to Serbia should be postponed for November 10.

He was commenting on the football match between Serbia and Albania on Tuesday evening in Belgrade, when a small drone was flown above the pitch with a map of the so-called "Greater Albania," which caused disturbance and incidents, after which the game was abandoned.
"This was a severe provocation. I do not know who could benefit from this, but it is a fact that officials were the only supporters of the Albanian team at the match," Vučić said.

Albania summons Serbian envoy after sour football match

  Albania summoned Serbian Ambassador Miroljub Zoric to its Foreign Office Wednesday as relations between the two countries strained in the aftermath of a football match.

“Football should not be mixed with politics,” Albanian Foreign Minister Ditmir Bushati said at a press conference.

He was referring to the Euro 2016 qualifier football match between Serbia and Albania that was held on Tuesday night in Belgrade, but had to be abandoned when a Kosovo flag was desecrated on the pitch.

Deutschland hat Rebellen im eigenen Haus. Jorgo Chatzimarkakis (Duisburg, 1966) ist Europaabgeordneter und war Mitglied des FDP-Bundesvorstandes bis 2011. Die FDP ist Angela Merkel's Koalitionspartner in der Regierung. Kürzlich hat Chatzimarkakis öffentlich erklärt, dass er sich nicht zur Wiederwahl als Abgeordneter für Deutschland stellen wird. Er hat griechische Wurzeln und glaubt, dass Deutschland die südeuropäischen Staaten ungerecht behandelt hat.
Warum werden Sie nicht wieder als deutscher Europaabgeordneter kandidieren? Ich bin sehr unzufrieden über die Art und Weise, wie die meisten deutschen Politiker und die Medien mit Griechenland und Zypern umgegangen sind.

Τα φωτοστέφανα «ενοχλούν», όπως την εποχή του Κομμουνισμού

Η Σλοβακία, ανταποκρινόμενη σε αιτήματα ορισμένων χωρών της ευρωζώνης, αφαίρεσε τα φωτοστέφανα από το αναμνηστικό κέρμα των 2 € για τον εορτασμό της 1.150ης επετείου της άφιξης των Αγίων Κυρίλλου και Μεθοδίου στη Μοραβία.
Η Σλοβακία, μέλος της ευρωζώνης από το 2009, θα αρχίσει να κυκλοφορεί το  αναμνηστικό νόμισμα το επόμενο έτος για να σηματοδοτήσει την άφιξη των Αγίων Κυρίλλου και Μεθοδίου στη Μεγάλη Μοραβία και τη Πανονία, η οποία ήταν μέρος της σύγχρονης Σλοβακίας.
Οι χώρες της Ευρωζώνης επιτρέπεται να κόβουν αναμνηστικά κέρματα μία φορά κάθε χρόνο στο πλαίσιο των κοινοτικών κανόνων. Η εικόνα στο πίσω μέρος του αναμνηστικού κέρματος, ωστόσο, θα πρέπει να γίνεται αποδεκτή από τα υπόλοιπα μέλη της ευρωζώνης και την Κομισιόν.

Greece faces shut-down amid massive strikes

Public transport and media workers on strike as national parliament prepares to vote on tough new austerity measures.
Public transport and media workers have opened a week of strikes in Greece, contesting fresh austerity measures needed for a lifeline from creditors which the government is due to introduce to parliament.

The Athens metro was shut, and only one tram line was running on Monday, while Athens' 14.000 taxi drivers halted services, severely disrupting traffic in the capital.
