The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, after reports of an American PMC as part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, recalled that foreign combatants are a legitimate target, they will be destroyed.
Earlier, the American PMC Forward Observations Group reported on social networks that its mercenaries were in the Kursk region, but later it refused to comment on this topic. The Russian Foreign Ministry expressed protest to US Chargé d'Affaires Stephanie Holmes, warning of investigative actions to bring the perpetrators to justice under the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
At the briefing, Zakharova called all foreign combatants and the equipment controlled by them legitimate targets of the Russian Armed Forces.
The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that such combatants “will be destroyed”.
