Iran President Calls His Visit to Syria "Turning Point"

 Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi described his recent visit to Syria as "turning point in cementing ties" between the two Muslim states.

Raisi arrived in Tehran on Friday after an intensive two-day trip to Syria in which he met with his Syrian counterpart Bashar al-Assad.

Pointing out that today the people of Syria and the region believe that Iran is a strong pillar that they can rely on, the President stated, "In the meeting with different resistance groups, we saw that these groups, despite their different tastes, agreed that Iran can be trusted and relied on".

Speaking upon his arrival in Tehran from Damascus on Friday morning, Raisi explained the results and achievements of his intensive two-day official trip to Syria, and said, "After 12 years of resistance of the people and the government of Syria against the conspiracies of the enemies and the support of the Islamic Republic of Iran from this resistance and standing, this trip was very important for both countries and the region".

According to the official website of the Iranian president, Raisi described this trip as a turning point in the development of economic, commercial, political and security relations between Iran and Syria.
