DPR does not rule out possible sabotage at gas pipeline in Makeyevka

The authorities of Makeyevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) have not excluded a possible act of sabotage at a gas pipeline in one of the city’s districts, head of the city administration Vyacheslav Klyucharov told TASS on Tuesday.

"Local residents did not hear any typical incoming hits at that moment, there were no explosions. They simply saw a massive fire. It is not yet clear what triggered it. It may be an act of sabotage," the mayor said.

He added that the emergency services were working on site as well as the experts who can clarify the situation.

On Tuesday, a large blaze was reported at a gas pipeline in Makeyevka. At 19:40, duty officers at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of issues related to Ukrainian war crimes (JCCC) registered the bombardment of that area. Ukrainian troops fired six 155-mm caliber shells.
