Dmitry Medvedev: Russia examines adversary weapons well enough in Ukraine operation

Russia has boosted its arms output and closely examined enemy weapons in the special military operation in Ukraine, Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev said in an article for the National Defense magazine published on Saturday.

As the politician pointed out, it was ludicrous to hear Kiev’s allegations that Russia "used up its missiles" or its output "ground to a halt." Reality proved the opposite as Ukrainian officials "have not yet been able to overcome the shock," Medvedev stressed.

"We are not just expanding production but are also introducing the latest technologies and fine-tuning them literally ‘on the march,’" the politician said in his article.

"Incidentally, we have examined enemy weapons seized as trophies well enough and we have disassembled them into tiny parts in our military design bureaus. We have learnt a lot of useful things and have put the enemy’s experience to our advantage," he stressed.

Medvedev said he had visited many Russian defense enterprises over the past year and got convinced that they were operating smoothly without any failures, fully complying with the defense procurement plan that had increased many-fold.

"New workshops and factories are being built. Military output at some facilities has increased by tens of times. Yes, this required a lot of efforts, and sometimes ‘manual control.’ We have managed to clear bottlenecks that seemed to be chronic problems that could not be resolved. It turns out that everything is possible when there is vital need for that," the politician said.
