Majority of NATO countries exhausted possibilities of arms supply to Ukraine

Two thirds of NATO countries have exhausted their potential as regards the supplies of armament to Ukraine, The New York Times said, citing representatives of the alliance.

Reserves of twenty out of thirty NATO members are "pretty tapped out" but the remaining ten can still continue supplies, the newspaper said. Among such countries are France, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands.

The situation with armament reserves is particularly challenging for Poland and Baltic States, the newspaper noted. NATO countries in total transferred weapons to Ukraine worth $40 bln, which is comparable with the annual defense budget of France, The New York Times added.
