Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky would like very much to trigger world nuclear confrontation, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told a news briefing on Thursday.
"Let me recall Zelensky's quote from his online message to a Western audience. Do you remember what he said? It’s no use waiting. A first strike must be carried out against Russia. He called on NATO to deal such first strikes," Zakharova said.
She stressed that if the nuclear blackmail of Western sponsors failed, "if they do not continue their support at the same level and do not increase it," Kiev will activate its Plan B. Zakharova pointed out that the Kiev regime had decided to launch a whole string of moves in accordance with a destructive ideology on a completely different level: for several months, the Zelensky regime shelled the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant (ZNPP). The bombardments of that facility were expected to force the West to take a series of steps, which would bring the world to the brink of a nuclear catastrophe.
Zakharova believes that Zelensky needed a pretext. Russia managed to frustrate his attempts at creating such a pretext at the Zaporozhye NPP, so Kiev has now proceeded to the next stage of its extremist destructive logic - the "dirty bomb" threats.
