This was stated at a briefing for foreign military diplomats by the head of the Department of Military Cooperation of the Ministry of Defense of Belarus, Colonel Valery Revenko.
“The Baltic countries are focusing on improving the military infrastructure, increasing the ability to receive and deploy foreign military units. An analysis of the training of the national armed forces and foreign formations shows that the issues of creating offensive groups and the use of troops in the Russian and Belarusian directions are being worked out,” said Revenko, whose video was published on the Telegram channel of the Belarusian defense ministry.
Earlier, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said at a security meeting that he had agreed with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on the deployment of a joint regional group of troops.
He added that the Union State group is activated if the threat level reaches the current level. According to Lukashenko, in Kyiv they are not just discussing, but planning to strike at the Belarusian territory.
