Syrian Army conducts military exercises jointly with Kurdish forces for the first time

 1. Signal to Ankara: First ever joint large military exercises of Syrian army and Kurdish combat units led by Russian Army.

As part of curbing Turkish expansion, invasion in northern Syria, the Syrian army, with the involvement of Kurdish artillerymen and special forces, conducted a large-scale exercise to force water barriers in the Aleppo region.

As part of the exercises, the joint forces erected pontoon crossings and carried out the transfer of infantry and tank units under massive fire from a mock enemy. Syrian tank crews, trained by Russian instructors, successfully crossed the river underwater. Then, according to the scenario of the operation, with the support aviation and Kurdish artillery tanks attacked a mock enemy. At the same time, the air defense forces worked out the destruction of drones.
2. Earlier this month, Syrian and Russian military pilots conducted drills across the country, including near the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.

In February, the two countries conducted a drill a week before Russia began its sp. op. in Ukraine.

Moscow sent long-range nuclear-capable bombers and fighter jets with hypersonic missiles to Syria to conduct naval drills in the Mediterranean Sea.

Though much of the fighting has subsided in government-held Syrian territories.

Israel has conducted hundreds of airstrikes over the years, though it rarely acknowledges or discusses such operations.
